Music has always been one of my favorite aspects of being human; as a creative person, I have always found inspiration in music and the art surrounding musical culture.
Electronic dance music has played an increasingly significant role in the evolution of my career, as well as in my quest for purpose and community.
Seattle Psy Ops: Back in Black Light

When the world opened back up after the COVID-19 pandemic, it was time for entertainment providers to return to form. This promotional material was created to boost the image of Seattle Psy Ops and build awareness for a new audience.
A single iconic background was chosen for the campaign, employing a dark and mysterious feel to generate curiosity. The concept leveraged the group's reputation for a strong presence of ultraviolet lighting and responsive materials.
The same image was used for all digital channels including Facebook and Eventbrite, to maximize brand recognition.
Print versions were created in cmyk (11"x17" poster and a 5"x7" flyer), featuring the group's logo and a QR code leading directly to ticket sales. The custom domain redirects fans to the group's Facebook page.

Early promotion and building brand recognition were key to creating awareness after a 3-year pause in operations. Happily, this event was a smashing success due to diligent promotion, while advertising expenses were minimal.

Seattle Psy Ops: Operation Artemis

Showcasing local talent has always been a priority for Seattle Psy Ops. But we are also known for bringing top international talent to Seattle. To bridge the gap, we strive to elevate the profile of our favorite North American artists.
Operation Artemis was a fantastically successful experiment in showcasing a few of the powerful feminine DJs and producers who have rocked dance floors across the continent and beyond.
We chose to commission a cartoon illustration of four iconic female feminine personas to give this event a unique and lighthearted feel. Custom social profile images were built for each of our four headliners.

Seattle Psy Ops: other events

Promoting events for a small niche market of music fans is primarily a labor of love. While managing this endeavor, I have served as Creative Director of Seattle Psy Ops. Many of these quick designs were created in just a few hours.
